I needed to have the filter changed, bands tightened, and the shift points adjusted for quite sometime. I was concerned over finding a shop I could trust to do the work without burning me and telling me I was due a rebuild. My 1974 AMC Javelin was in dire need of this basic service. The mechanic took the keys and we went on the test drive and was told since I lived near by he could drop me off and call once the car was ready for pick up.
