Came all the way from Michigan to visit family and HAD To stop in! Great donuts and desserts :) love the family! Been a long time since I've been able to come there!
I love the Tulip Pastry Shop and not just because they treat me like part of the family when I go in there! The recipes are generations old and they are also trying new things all the time. Breads, cakes, cookies, sausage rolls (it was a special treat when Art would talk like a British chef when saying "Sausage rolls!"), cup cakes, fritters (have you tried a berry fritter?), and seasonal treats like hot cross buns, stollen, peanut brittle, the list goes on! I love The Tulip Pastry Shop!
I worked at Tulip Pastry in the 70s. I loved it then and I am so glad it is still there. Next time I'm in Portland I will differently stop by.
