I would not recommend this psychiatric unit based on my experience. After reviewing my medical records, I felt that some things were misunderstood or misrepresented. For example, it was documented that I was crying because my phone was taken away, when in reality I was crying because I was overwhelmed by the trauma I’ve experienced. After a mental breakdown, I was brought to this facility against my will. I was truly amazed at the level of care and compassion that everyone, including myself, received. The doctors I had the pleasure of being treated by made me feel like a person. They seemed like they actually cared about my past and my future. 99% of the nursing staff was incredible and I'm so thankful for them. Even the security was amazing. I asked for help because I drink on the weekends I don’t drink with my children which they lied to the people at UCF that I drink on the weekends which I don’t. I think only the weekends when I don’t have my children they lied about that they destroy me I can’t even see my children. Did call DCF for me. I asked for help because I drink on the weekends I don’t drink with my children which they lied to the people at UCF that I drink on the weekends which I don’t.
