Do NOT use this emergency services department unless you enjoy sitting in an ER waiting room with lots of sick and injured people for hours on end. In the past I've had great experiences with TMC with other services. But their Emergency Services dept is '3rd world' class. On two separate occasions I went there with severe Covid symptoms. Over a period of 8 hours I spent 5% of the time getting triaged/tested and 95% trying to sleep sitting up in a waiting room chair with many other sick and injured people. My suggestion: Find... read more
Thank you for the Covid Vaccination!! Excellent coordination!!
Slow to get in, seems short staffed. No reason to go here if you are “looking to save time”. Probably the worst bed side manner ive ever seen right up to the front desk lady who will let other people go ahead of you. Not at all happy about what i have experianced and hear about
Business response:
Dear Kyler, Care with compassion is what we pride ourselves on and I am very sorry that was not your experience. I will take your comments to the emergency room manager to address with staff. We are actively working on addressing the staffing situation, which due to the pandemic is affecting hospitals across the city, state and nation, again my apologies for your experience.
Tucson medical center sucks and the unfair when it comes to the visitor policy... if u not going to let comply to everyone it shouldnt be allowed to no one..
Business response:
Brianna, I am sorry to hear about your experience. I've sent a PM to you.

My husband was admitted on the 600 unit. We were not able to go inside to visit. We did window visits and virtual visits. When the employees would come in to assist my husband, they always were so friendly and polite. They took their time to listen to his questions and provide answers. Upon discharge the patient care tech came in and told my husband it was a pleasure caring for him. The RN at discharge also went through all the paperwork with us so that we understood the instructions well
I met my Husband when i was 25, We both knew we wanted kids and we knew we needed to get started soon. So i decided to go for fertility test and get some basic testing done, when the result came out my report was totally discouraging, my doctor told me that probably my only chance to get pregnant was to use a donor egg. I was absolutely shocked, we hadn’t even started trying yet, and all of a sudden I was told that I had absolutely no chance of getting pregnant on my own, my head was full of terrifying thoughts like I wouldn... read more
This is the kind of medical advice your staff is giving to the public on Facebook regarding quarantine and social distancing for kids. Her name is Corrine Wilhite. She claims to be an RN at your hospital. She posted this- Corrine Wi Of course kids are going to start getting sick because they have been on quarantine for so long they have weakened immune systems now and is going to get sick like starting kindergarten all over again being exposed to new viruses.... strong immune systems come from being exposed to others.
3 of my children were born there with the utmost professional care I could ask for as a parent, I just had my fourth child 06/26/20 via c-section the labor and delivery team were outstanding but the issues started once we were transferred to postpartum recovery, once the doctor cleared me to have ice it took 2 hours to get it, I bled through my gauze dressing onto the the absorbent mat then on the bed, OBGYN at the surgery room advised the first dressing change would happen in 24 hrs it didn’t happen for about 36 hours. Upon... read more
Business response:
I am so sorry to hear that your latest experience giving birth at TMC was not to the level you had describe previously receiving. What you describe is not the level of care we strive for. I will take this to the Director of Women and Children Services to a address. Again, my sincere apologies.
