About this business

This is Tucson's main venue for the performing arts, home of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and the Arizona Opera, as well as the locale for pop music concerts, sports events and major trade conventions. A result of 1970s style urban renewal, it is only somewhat interesting stylistically compared to the old adobe buildings that were bulldozed to make room for what now stands. However, some abstract sculptures and fountains outside the complex provide food for the art lover's imagination. There are three performance venues - T... read more

whomever remodeled the seats in the arena should be ashamed. I took off my shoe and placed it length wise in the seat so I could see how wide they were. my shoe is a size 12 and so was the seat! most adults couldn't fit in them. They are way to small! most teachers who came to the game were sitting in the aisles, the concrete stairs. way to "fat shame" public school educators — at Tucson Convention Center.

This area is actually comprised of several venues - arena, convention/show space, a theatre, and a music hall. Friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, (until some pig people throw their trash on the floor during/after events), convenient parking for only $10 or so, depending on event, but free and sometimes cheaper parking nearby with easy access to streetcar transpo to the venue(s). Close to restaurants, bars, & downtown nightlife shenanigans before and/or after your scheduled event at the Convention Center.
