I had to visit the Tryon Medical Partners in Waverly due to a medical emergency, even though I normally go to the Matthews location. I can’t speak for every doctor here, but I can speak for Dr. Ketan Amin and I would not recommend him. I came in with severe symptoms and a blood pressure of 160/100, yet he did absolutely nothing. Doctors who are kind, listen and help. Nice nurses and office staff. I’m a long time patient, and continue to be beyond happy with the care.
I started going to Tryon Medical Partners a few years ago. I could not ask for better doctors and staff. I’m greeted with a smile at check-in , nursing staff and the doctors. Dr Mehta is great . She always makes sure we discuss everything and I feel welcome and trust her 100% for my medical care.
Beyond disappointed. I just switched to this practice in March, 2025. I completed my physical with Dr. Amin. I have taken a controlled substance for 20 years and understand I am required to complete a visit every 3 months. We did a virtual visit 4/15 and discussed this controlled substance. I was told he wouldn’t be able to fill the script until 4/28 which was fine. Yesterday, I called to remind him to fill the script and was told he is requiring another virtual visit. I checked in as a new patient for Dr. Tehal Mehta at the Waverly location. I arrived around 2 for my 2:30 appointment. There was nobody at the front. However, a front desk staff appeared shortly after. I did not get a warm welcome or a "Hi how can I help you," no greeting whatsoever, so I asked "Do I check in with you?"
