My experience with Hospice was a bait and switch. My grandma needed to come home based on her need for blood infusions to stay alive. We spoke to a very kind hospice rep from the hospital that agreed that if this was his mother he would bring her home to die peacefully in her own place. Hospice provided a bed at her house before her arrival and their transportation. She had a stage 4 bed sore that was very important to be tended too. Very good care for a family member. Staff was warm and sympathetic.
We brought my mom Faby to Trustbridge Hospice last Monday night, and we have been incredibly impressed with their facilities and staff. The rooms are modern and comfortable, surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds with serene green areas, mature trees, and tranquil lakes perfect for meditation and relaxation in nature. Been wanting to acknowledge several people on Team Ruby that were so helpful during the one week our mom Carmen Santana spent in hospice care in April. First of all, as soon as the admitting nurse left, things started moving fast. The same day we had the bed, oxygen and medicine all ready to go. Mami was with them from Thursday to Thursday.
