I give everything a 1 because I had a reservation confirmed by Expedia and when I attempted to check in the desk person told me that he had no reservation in my name. I showed him my confirmation with Expedia and I got a shrug. I asked if there were any rooms available and he said there were none. I think he sold my room and took the Expedia money. We were driving north on I-95 from Florida and finally stopped around 10pm. After seeing a lot of poor reviews for other hotels along the way, we were glad to find this Tru by Hilton in Thornburg. It’s right off the highway, had great ratings, and is pet friendly, which was exactly what we needed. We booked through Hilton while just 15 minutes out, and the room was ready when we arrived. This place has dropped in its quality over the last 3 years. We have stayed here multiple times. The first time was the Tru by Hilton we expected. Clean rooms. Polite staff. This last visit was far from it. The bed being clean was the saving grace. The air conditioner was covered in black mold. We didn’t realize until the morning after it was used all night. Very Convenient to I-95 in Virginia Just off of the Interstate. And if Your Into Racing, Right Across the street from Dominion Raceway which has an Oval, and a Road Course. Anyway, the Hotel is Contemporary, the Rooms were Nice and Clean. The Beds were Comfortable, and the Shower was a Nice Size Especially if you are a Larger person as I am Almost 6' and 225. Honestly at first I was kind of sketch of those place because of both the price and reviews but WOW. The rooms and lobby are awesome. All the reviews I read about it being dirty and they’re bugs is false. Beds are the best and it’s quiet if you request a room on the raceway side. Top 5 hotels I’ve been too
