First time back in 10 years. The first time I came I hated the pour over because I was use to bad coffee with cream, well I couldn’t have been more wrong. Got a great tasting cup of a light Kenya and it was so juicy sweet and balanced. Went down the rabbit hole of coffee and I understand now. Appreciate Tony and his passion for coffee.
Whether you're a coffee nomad who can tell a bourbon from a gesha or someone who just loves a good cuppa, Troubador is well worth going out of your way to visit. Close enough to the airport that it'll be my first stop after flying into CLE.
The coffee was fine but was absolutely not good enough to warrant the asinine refusal to give cream/sugar. I have been to probably a hundred coffee shops, many of which pride themselves on their beans/roasts just as much as this shop, and no other ones did this. It'd be like a restaurant specializing in French fries but refuses customers any dips and gives a snooty retort when asked about it.
