I stopped by Tropical Smoothie today, and while there was a bit of a wait for smoothies, it was very obvious why. The store was absolutely packed, and the staff was working nonstop trying to keep up with a huge rush of customers. Despite being understaffed (from what I saw!) and extremely busy, everyone remained professional, friendly, and focused on getting orders out as quickly as possible. It took 25 minutes to make a single smoothie, and the customer service was very slow. Several employees in the back seemed to have poor attitudes. I also noticed potential cross-contamination concerns, as staff were handling peanuts without gloves and then touching other items. Overall, the experience was disappointing.
The acai bowls are amazing. But I made the mistake of ordering in. My bowl was completely frozen. I expressed my concern that my spoon would break. They didn't care. Whelp, my spoon broke and I became frustrated and turned the acai bowl in and asked if there was any way to defrost it. She gave me a cup of warm water and all that did was make a mess.
