Quick and Good – Extensive wine list, decent pasta, great service. There are not a lot of good Italian places in Seattle, and even fewer in Redmond. This one meets the bar in every way, but I found nothing especially exceptional about it. I eat here whenever I feel like Italian but do not feel like driving very far.
worth the drive – we love italian food and are always in search of a new place to try... made the drive over based on the other reviews here. it was worth it! the tables were a bit crowed for my taste, but other than that, FANTASTIC!!! having my leftovers for lunch the next day only made me want more---we'll be back!
Great Italian food & wine – Superb service, the food is great and the collection of italian winesis huge. The pasta specials are consistently good, the pasta cooked to perfection.
Yummy...every time – I eat here more often than my wallet would like to admit. Always a pleasure......Their creme based sauces rule my world!!!!!
great find – excellent food, great waiters, and inexpensive to boot. there was nothing outstanding about tropea but it was very good food and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere with attentive, fun waiters. yes, there are plastic tablecloths and some cheesy decor but don't let that stop you - i'd go back in a sec.
Excellent Restaurant Wonderful Food – We have eaten at Tropea several times now and are never disappointed - the food is delicious and the staff attentive. Although the restaurant itself is small, it makes up for the size in a big way with great service, fantastic meals and friendly staff. KUDOS - try it, you'll like it! :-)
Must have been an Off Nite? – After reading so many rave reviews, and in anticipation of our trip to Italy, we decided to try it. Boy, what a mistake! We were greeted and seated promptly by very nice staff. Depending on our waiter's suggestions, we ordered the house salad, spinach ravioli and a pasta with shrimp. The salad arrived drenched in so much dressing the lettuce was wilted. The ravioli arrived and was swimming in pasta water. I had to drain the pasta water off onto my bread plate.
