RecommendedOn our recent visit to Helen I researched restaurants because I knew we would be eating lunch there. Unfortunately none of the ratings were great and we just chose the troll tavern after walking by it and seeing the location was nice. I have to say the food was amazing and our waiter was awesome. I highly recommend the roast beast. it was probably the best sandwich I have ever had!

This apparent “German” place, doesn’t have gravy for the Schnitzel (that’s deep fried) AND they serve Hefeweizen in a miller light glass....pretty sure the Hefeweizen is actually Miller light mixed with Blue Moon (being German I drink a lot of German beer 😅 ). Very disappointed with the Americanized German food.

Amazing service. We didn’t have to wait. Food was the ABSOLUTE BEST! Wings are to die for. I don’t know how I’ve lived in this county for 48 years and deprived my tastebuds of their awesome dishes.
