I didn't get to have a mammogram. My OBGYN sent the order over a month ago. I got an appointment and gave them my insurance info. The day BEFORE I was scheduled to have a mammogram (over a month later), they called me to tell me they had to cancel because they didn't take my insurance. It took them over a month to realize this because they wouldn't give me an appointment without giving them my insurance info so they had it that whole time. WARNING- WARNING!!!! ‼️ Beware. This facility uses 2D imaging, which is substandard care. 3D is the current standard of care and is usually what is covered by insurance. When I had to go back for additional imaging (3D), insurance did not cover because I had “used” my covered mammogram visit. Tristar was no help in trying to work with the insurance to review the diagnostic coding to have the additional visit for the 3D image covered.
