This was my second interaction with Emergency service and this time I was the patient . I am a retired physician and knew I had an obstructing kidney stone with severe pain I was seen promptly and the diagnosis was confirmed with a stat Ct scan . An urgent consult with Urology was obtained and my pain was controlled well and was admitted within 2 hours I received prompt compassionate professional care and I felt blessed to have such an excellent medical center in the Springfield community . I’m truly disappointed in the care I received last night. The past 2 weeks I haven’t been able to keep food or water down. I wrote it off because I really didn’t want the headache or the bill of an emergency room. I went to see my Primary Care Dr and her advice was I needed to go straight to the ER with my history of having major abdominal surgery a few years back.
