He ran blood tests and other tests EVERY time I went! I waited FOREVER in his office each time- he was short and rude and did not want to explain why or what the tests were for or the results from the previous visits! It was extremely difficult getting my records from him and had to get in person. Then two other doctors could not even explain test results cause they had NEVER heard of them themselves! I can’t believe my insurance company even approved all the tests he ran! I was broke just trying to pay the copays! He did he... read more
Dr. Trippe is fantastic. I felt terrible for years not knowing what was going on. If you are fed up with other doctors that say “well, it’s not ________” and send you on your way. Then look no further. He DOES order a lot of labs which is a great thing because you find answers! You leave there feeling like somebody actually cares and is going to handle it. No rock goes unturned. If there is an issue, he will find it. His staff is beyond great! Yes, sometimes wait times can be longer than others but it is so very worth it in ... read more
I have recently seen Dr. Trippe for follow up on thyroid and low ferritin. As always, he is intelligent and very comprehensive with my care. I believe I am in good hands. I also took my husband to see him as a new patient and I am grateful for all the things he identified, such as coronary artery disease. He educated us both on how we need to approach and prevent any future problems. We have some work to do but we had more direction and a more thorough visit than we have ever had with any other physician.
Dr. Trippe has been a godsend to me. He is so thorough, so professional & has a great personality. For almost 3 months, my blood pressure spiked daily reaching stroke level, my heart beat wildly & irradically. Other doctors found nothing wrong & just put me on meds to cover the symptoms. When I decided in desperation to go to an endocrinologist, I chose Dr Trippe. He immediately recognized that my thyroid was the cause, & now I'm back to normal & dropped the unnecessary meds. ?
I have been a patient of Dr Trippe for 3 years, and continue to see him for treatment. I too have frustrations with wait times, and getting prescriptions transferred timely to my pharmacy. However, I must state emphatically that Dr Trippe is the most competent, most caring Dr I have dealt with for some time. He cares about the individual and seeks to help not only with specialized diagnosis and treatment, but the overall well being as well.
As I am a veterinarian, it is very hard for me to find a Doctor I deem as competent or trustworthy. Dr. Trippe is without a doubt, the most competent, caring, and through endocrinologist I have ever seen. I will guarantee he does not make you take name brand medications because he wants you to pay the costs or orders unnecessary blood tests. Do some reasearch and ask him why. I will guarantee there is a sound medical reason behind each of his decisions.
Although I had confirmed appointments, I had to wait, wait, and wait for several hours. This happened on many occasions. When I finally got to see him, he was rushed and rude. One time we were going over something in my records and come to find out he was talking about another patient and not me. He also ordered all sorts of blood tests and other testing for which I think were not even needed. It has been 6 years since I last saw him. My new endro is great and much better than Trippe.
This doctor does not prescribe generic medications, as he is firm in his belief that they are inferior to name brands. He shows no regard for for families he wants to pay in medication costs what they would pay for rent and utilities every month. He also showed blatant disregard for my other medical issues during our visits, and was uncomfortably obsessed with my having children, which he expressed in the creepiest of baby voices.
