Established in 1929 by Bert Wright, Triple XXX Family Restaurant is now run by couple, Greg and Carrie Ehresman. It was named after a root beer brand of the early 20th Century and has been owned by the Ehresman family for two generations now. It is also the flagship drive-in restaurant in the state. Old time atmosphere, excellent food and great service
AWESOME BURGERS. Good pork tenderloins and you should have the root beer they make. Went just for that, after seeing it on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. If you're in the area it's a must.
A "Must" in Lafayette! Going to Triple XXX is a "must" when visiting Lafayette! The food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is fun! I like the pork tenderloins best! It's a long-time tradition!
Great for drunks or family Don't let the name deceive you, this restaurant is family run with nothing immoral. The 24 hours bit implies that it is a drunk spot, and it is depending on the hours. Of course, this being a college campus, no time is guaranteed to be drunk free. There are no tables, just a long bar with stools. So large groups don't fit well.
great burgers The name sounds funny, but it's a great place to take the family for a burger and rootbeer float. All Purdue Alumni have been here one time or another. It's situated on a hill and is easy to find. I you visit west Lafayette, you have to eat lunch here.
Trple XXX It is very good. The root beer is amazing. You get your food served on a frisbee instead of a plate. Makes for a good souvenier. The name of the restaurant is very misleading, there is no nudity :P
One the hill, but on the level. A Purdue staple for many years. IOpen 24 hours and always serving breakfast. Great spot to hit after the bars. Highly recommend any burger as well.
