We were there, unfortunately. It was a truly bad experience. I've never seen a hospital so dirty everywhere. The staff was friendly. It's a place I wouldn't return to.
You are better off driving to Iowa City than going here. I went here last month and left because of the wait. Today I waited 4 hours for them to see me. Watched a lot of people leave because of the wait. Everybody seemed really stressed out, staff and patients. Sucks because I remember this hospital being a lot better.
The staff was nice and friendly but under ZERO circumstances should I or anyone else be sitting in an ER waiting room for 2+ hours without even speaking to a Dr or being seen. This is absolutely outrageous. If you’re short staffed, hire more staff. I’ve never had such a bad experience and now I’m leaving without even being seen cause I sat in the waiting room of the ER for 3 hours!!!
Came to the ER for what ended up being a fractured pelvis. Waited 3hrs in a practically empty waiting room without so much as an X Ray. The place is a joke and I will drive twice as far just to avoid this excuse for a hospital.
Have a very serious eye injury with no insurance. They won't give a price on a consultation or prices on any test until after the visit. Could be $100 or could be tens of thousands. Very unprofessional!
