I went to this hospital's emergency department in mid April and experienced racial discrimination. I was kept waiting for nearly 4 hours and never received the medical attention I came in for. I was the only Black person there and about 10 people came in after me. Every person that came in after me received a room before me. I watched as many of them were discharged while I was left waiting without medical service. I came in severe pain all over and instead of being met with caring and compassion I was just left in waiting. A man that came well after me was put in a room way before me. No one seemed to care about my condition.
Seems like a decent hospital so far. Yesterday was my first visit here. Lauren at Patient Registration on the Cardiology side of the building was very nice & helpful!
UPDATE, my father-in-law was finally transferred, still NOT happy about his care, we had to reach out to a Board of Directors to get any results If I could give less I would!!! Father-in-law is currently in Trinity Hospital waiting to be transferred...doctors said there's nothing more they can do... my husband has had to look for staff because not a single one is answering call lights while other patients are yelling from their rooms!!!!!!! 7:30pm no supper had been served and no dietician to be found, no meal order was done... read more
