On or about August 1st. I took my 13 foot Boston whaler to Trick Marine for service. All filters and fluids were to be changed in the motor and lower unit, spark plugs changed, Bimini top frame to be replaced and throttle and steering to be adjusted. After putting the boat in the water to bring the boat home, it quit running. Trick replaced a fuel pump and the boat would still not run and started making grinding sound coming from the lower unit. On March 1, 2019 I visited Jason at Trick Marine and we got along fine. He seemed like a nice guy. I put a down payment of $500 on a boat he had for sale pending successful trial run to prove the engine would perform as it had been sitting for a long time. Three times we hooked the boat up to my car and launched it and it would not run at the dock, let alone on a trial run. The engine had multiple problems which included the water pump, carburetors, wiring harness, battery, and the computer. This went on for two and a half ... read more
