My Thanks to Tri-City -Bob 1 -12 -10 The issue I had with my transmission was when it was cold I lost rpms going up hill or backing down hill almost to a stall. My regular mechanics sugested taking it to a Ford dealer. Thinking they had seen the problem. The dealer could not diagnose the problem and suggested taking a look at the converter thats probably where the problem was. I took it to Tri-City. They had it a day. John called, said the filter was cracked. They fixed my truck for the cost of a transmission service charge.... read more

Honest... With Me Too. Guys... Tri-City Is Amazing. My regular shop gave me the devastating news that the transmission needed to be replaced, at a cost of $2900 + tax. However, I came accross Tri-City Transmission and after reading many of their favorable reviews I decided to let them look at my car too, for a second opinion.Well... by the end of the day Tri-City called me with the news. "We completed the courtesy check, tightened up the radiator fitting, cleaned up a coolant leak, and filled the transmission fluid that was 2... read more

Great Service! My neighbor had listened to Mark Salem on KTAR radio and he said to go to Tri-City Transmissions in Tempe if you want a transmission job done right at a fair price. After reading the reviews on KTAR, Ti-City's website and the BBB, I decided to take my 2000 Ford Expedition (119K miles) there even though I live up north by Tatum & Greenway. My car was not staying in Park on my inclined driveway and I was having to put the emergency brake on to keep it from rolling backward. Occasionally I had to put it in Neutra... read more

Didn't rip me off After taking my truck to our regular repair guy, he confirmed that it was something with the transmission and recommended Tri-City as the "place he takes his own vehicles". True to the recommendation, they found 2 small parts that needed to be replaced, had us back on the road quick, and even washed my truck. Thanks guys!

Honest Opinion - not trumped up charges I took my old Mustang into Tri-City Transmission because my power on acceleration was inconsistent or not responsive, afraid that I was going to be told I needed $800 or more transmission work to be done. Boy was I relieved and happy when Brian said he drove it for over 20 miles and whatever problem I may have he could not detect and didn't think it was a transmission problem. I went there because I was referred by Whitey's Auto Repair in Scottsdale and I have used them for years and t... read more

Wow! Honest Car Guys! Turns out I didn't need a new tranny after all - just motor mounts. Much cheaper. They gave me a ride to and from while they had my van, did the work quickly and charged a very reasonable amount.

Reputable Shop I suspected my tranny was slipping and brought it to my local shop for a diagnostic check. The shop mechanic confirmed what I suspected but doesn't do tranny work so I brought it down to Tri-City Transmission to get it fixed. Expecting to pay several thousand dollars, I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that the tranny was fine and the source of the problem was a plugged catalytic converter. Had the cat replaced and the car runs fine. I shudder to think that a not-so-reputable shop could have discovered... read more

An Honest Business Brought my car to Tri-City Transmission for repair as I was told by another shop what I had suspected- the tranny was slipping. They checked it out and said the tranny was fine but the car had a plugged-up catalytic converter and that was my problem. There was no charge for this diagnostic check and I'm ever-so-grateful for their complete honesty. It makes me shudder to think that a not-so-reputable shop would slap a cheap after-market cat on it and then charge me thousands for a "rebuilt" tranny. It's ref... read more
