This company has gone to h_ll since it was bought out by UGI. I asked to buy the tank we rent from them, about a year ago and was told "someone will call you." I put that in quotes because I have now heard it so many times. By Nov., after they closed all the local offices, never got back to me about the tank and reneged on the contract price of our propane, I decided to switch providers. I've now been asking for 4 months for them to remove their tank. In repeated calls they tell me that there was no service order from Novemb... read more

I have done business with Amerigas since 2005. On march 3, 2022 I placed an order for 63 gallons of propane and paid them $313.00. I was scheduled for a delivery 3-4-22 thru 3-10-22. I called and asked if they could tell me what day it would be delivered – they said 3-8-22. They did not show up. I called again and they said it would be delivered 3-10-22. They did not show up. I called again and they said it would be delivered 3-12-22. They did not show up. I called again cancelled the order. They do not have any regard for t... read more

One of the worst companies around don't do business with them. I am on an automatic delivery but obviously Ido not get that service. Their website supposedly shows how much your shiuld have tin your tank is not even accurate. My husband had a drive from another state Because our propane heater died. The fancy website ndicated a 143 gallons which In essence I had 0. They raised the price but don't give you the service. Stay away from Americagas

I will give 0 stars to Amerigas. They have the worst customer service. We ran out of gas in January called and had a delivery done. 1/28 they delivers 250 gallons 3/4 we were out again, ordered another 100 gallons then had them come out and inspect the tank. It was found the valve was leaking so they set a temporary tank. 100 gallons that was ordered on 3/4 has still not been delivered. Was to be delivered between 3/5-3/11. I spoke with a supervisor on 3/10 about compensation. Told them I expected to be reimbursed for the 25... read more

I would also give them zero stars if possible. We had been with the previous supplier that was bought out by Amerigas with no problems. Needed to close account due to sale of our home. Found out no physical offices anymore and no local presence. All close out instructions for us and new buyers over the phone. Was told they would read meter, refund us at last purchase price and charge new owner at going rate and that new owner needed to set up account ASAP. I was given a service reference # for that. Then a separate service r... read more

This was our first year with Amerigas and we paid extra for automatic delivery. Yes, our house is not the most efficient. But we ran out of gas completely THREE TIMES. We live in Vermont, freezing cold Vermont. One night it was 25 degrees outside and we went through the night with no heat! And when we did run out of gas (every time) they gave us a $25 discount to apologize. It takes way more than that to get it up to a comfortable temperature! We will not be using them next winter, very unimpressed. Please read these reviews... read more

I’ve dealt with everything online since the switch. I was not aware of how much whatever change was made would impact my experience with this company, but it has. I called customer service 4 times, lied to each time about what I could do- and even told that I need to fill my tank earlier (there’s a 200 gallon minimum purchase and I’ve always filled my tank at the same time of year). No resolution or effort to help me was made- 4 times! I was told each time that the person before me didn’t leave any notes and that “Annie” or ... read more

My Complaint is about delivery. They have hired incompetent drivers who do not know how to fill the tanks properly - I have a 500 gallon tank and they are not suppose to fill it above 80% because it is pressurised - so they send an incompetent driver who sprays the gas into the air to fill it to 100% - I told him to stop because I have to pay for the gas he spewing in my back yard to over fill the tank - after he left I filed a complaint with Amerigas over the phone then went out to take a picture of the gage showing it was ... read more

I received a delivery from Amerigas last night at 930pm. Yes pm. The gas is high I know due to the Ukrainian conflict, but, when I looked at my delivery receipt it was $4.76.9 per gallon. I looked on the internet for the price of propane, $2.88 in my area. I called 7 propane companies in the area, their prices from 2.43 to 2.95. I am so upset. Called Amerigas, they dropped it one dollar a gallon. From what I can tell they are price gouging. I have contacted our Attorney General to see what I can do.
