This is a very low budget and poorly run clinic. The nurses are nice, but I can’t get my prescriptions refilled. Last time I ran out I called repeatedly, and after not being able to reach anyone I had to go into the office and they told me I needed an appointment. They didn’t seem to care that I didn’t have my very important prescription. I also had to go in 3 times just to get a physical done. Seems like a good doctor. Unfortunately, his staff thinks they know better than the doctor and will actually withhold care in the name of generating office visits. The staff denied me a refill on my meds a few weeks after I was in there and the doctor offered to refill it then. I told him I did not need it filled then and he said to call the office. I called a few weeks later when I needed the proscription and his staff would not even read the doctor's own notes on my account to refill my prescriptions. They told me no and r... read more

I would give this office zero stars if possible. Dr. Robert Helsten was the most abysmal Primary Care Provider that I have ever encountered. First of all, he was late to my appointment and absolutely reeked of cigarettes - never have experienced that in my life with a physician. I have asthma and should not be subjected to smelling cigarette smoke from my doctor. He also did not seem like he was "all there". Most importantly, he was dismissive and condescending.
