After a very negative interaction with Dr. Jay, I will not be returning to this practice. I came in because I was still experiencing sensitivity in a filling that Dr. Jay had redone. During our conversation, he told me to “look towards his eyes” when I wasn’t making eye contact and, when discussing why I was still having sensitivity, told me that he’s “not God” and didn’t know what was wrong. I do NOT recommend the place, if you don't have insurance, and you're paying out of pocket, like me! Undoubtedly, the staff at the Treaty Oak Dental are all very friendly! Dr. Bruce is equally as cordial and nice as his staff. However, it takes more than just cordiality to provide a quality service! My experience with Treaty Oak Dental was not positive at all, despite being very well greeted by everyone. #1 - The place is extremely expensive! Update 8/28/25: Stay Away! Dr Jay's attitude is worse than last yr. Today he was rude & interrupted me when i was trying to explain about my new condition. Am tired of Michelle, the hygienist who is pushy & patronizing & kept asking me about medication and other PHI. THERE ARE NO DOORS in the ofc, it's a big horse stable with open stalls where everyone can hear everything!
