wedding shower surprise Kristy repaired a doll for me that I presented to my daughter at her bridal shower. The doll had belonged to my daughter's great-grandmother when she was a young girl. Everyone was amazed at how pretty the doll was, I had dressed her in a wedding gown that I made from my wedding dress. I passed around a photo album with pictures before Kristy did her magic and they couldn't believe it was the same doll. I would highly recommend Kristy's work. Doll terrorist This person ruined several of my composition Shirley Temple dolls and robbed me for over $700. She refused my requested refund. I am a veteran antiques dealer specializing in dolls with 26 years experience. I have had numerous dolls restored during this time. I know the difference between good repair and amateurish work. Upon finding my mother's 1930s Shirley Temple doll on a closet shelf and, realizing she needed attention and was quite valuable, I was in a dilemma about what to do and where to turn for help. Very Good Doll Repair When one of my grandmothers China dolls was cracked, we called around for a place that could fix it. We settled on Treasured Collectibles mainly because the price we were quoted was a very good one. The work was done professionally and pretty quick. We expected it to take two weeks! I have gone back and bought several doll items from the for holidays/presents since then and I have always been satisfied with my purchases.
Treasured Collectibles It was difficult to find a doll hospital accepting new patients. I sent photos of the two dolls needing to be restored to several hospitals listed on the Internet. Some did not even respond and the ones that did,responded that they were not accepting new dolls at this time. Don't Use Treasured Collectibles My experience with Treasured Collectibles Doll Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana, (Kristy Neal, Owner), was unsatisfactory in all aspects of the transaction. I found Kristy Neal listed on a reputable Doll Referral site on the internet and after several emails back and forth, I sent my doll to be repaired. She quoted $200 to restore the doll.
