awsome little restaurant This little swedish restaurant in the northwest side is fabulous! the food is very good, it's not too expensive and the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. if you go there try the eggs benedicts, one of my favorites ! but if you go on sundays be prepared to wait : it gets really crowded.

Tre Kronor is great Swedish ethnic restaurat Excellent Swedish ethnic restaurant in the North Park neighborhood. Service is often good and the atmosphere is charming. However, weekends sometimes mean long waits especially for brunch. Small space dinning al fresco available during the warmer months. Regarding food. I mostly ate breakfast items and they always very had tasty, fresh eggs done in many ways. For those craving for sweet I recommend Pannekaker: Special Swedish pancakes with lingo berries or real Belgian Waffles ser... read more

Great Hearty Food! My sister took me to this little Swedish restaurant for breakfast when I told her I wanted a "hearty breakfast". And I was very satisfied. Its a cozy little corner restaurant with wood furniture and friendly waitresses, the christmas decorations were very cute. I had to poke fun at the mural on the wall, though. It was a large painting all along the far wall of little swedish people (dwarves or elves or something) with long noses and tails all dancing around and looking jolly. Anyway, the service was great... read more

Charming and a good value Tre Kronor has some of the flakiest and most delicious pastries I have ever had. I didn't know much about Swedish cuisine before we started coming here but I like trying new things and they are always really encouraging and informative. I think last time I went I had a bread called limpa (not sure on spelling) that was very good and an very tasty omelette. The restaurant is a converted house so it has quite a bit of old world charm.

Tre Kronor is a little Sweden in Chicago. The eggs are good, the potatoes are even better and the roast beef sandwich with mushrooms is so tasty. The staff is super friendly and the coffee is better than the chain down the street(4bucks).

Overlooked Swedish food gem While most tourists flock to the better-known Ann Sathers Swedish restaurant a mile west on Clark Street, this West Andersonville gem is worth seeking out. Prices are reasonable and food is superb. Creative dishes and nice traditional Swedish decor in this rennovated home with two stories for dining. Swedish favorites like pancakes with lingonberries, potato and veal sausages are complimented by innovative specials. PROS: Delicious food, great Atmosphere CONS: Street parking limited

Quaint neighborhood restaurant, affordable Swedish favorites – The first time I heard about this place is from my neighbor when at her late husband's funeral (RIP) and her would frequent. Actually, they used to run the Swedish shop across the street. I then was at work when a patient had "Check Please" on PBS doing a favorable review on this place. I first tried this place on a hot summer afternoon shortly after seeing the program. I walked in to find a pretty small, quaint, restaurant seating about 20. On the wall, I found ... read more
