Only doc I've found that has taken the time to fit me for scleral lenses that actually work...really nice down to earth guy also.
Dr Gittens cares for his patients. Aside from being a great guy and one heck of a legendary high school and college wrestler, he is an excellent optometrist. He was the first eye Dr that found a mole on my retina, a potentially serious condition if the mole were to grow, but most recently I started having blurred vision over the weekend and seeing sparks and light flashes and Dr Gittens got me in immediately to show me what I feared was the issue. I have been using Dr. Gittens‘s for a while now. This visit was my husband first visit.He has been having some trouble getting other doctors to understand what was going on. We went yesterday to pick up his new glasses and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him as happy as he was.I also picked up my new contacts and to say the least it has been difficult to get contacts that will work on my astigmatism, but Dr. Gittins did not give up. Went to pick my warranty glasses up to find they only ordered lenses when that's was not the issue. The guy took my glasses to the back to tighten the frame and scratched my lenses and then come back like it was already there. Shady, then going to says if you have issues with your lenses come back. I promise I will not be back☹️
I have been going to Dr Gittens for over 20 years. He and his entire staff are great. Now, my whole family goes because he is the best. I highly recommend him to everyone.
