Past experience with Travel Lodge in Wellington has not been it's best. This visit was amazing. I had a clean room, the first time. It was peaceful, safe, and relaxing. My check in experience was friendly and pleasant. I got to choose a noon check out time so I don't feel rushed to get out. Checking out in the past was unpleasant and unfriendly due to my service dog, despite the, "Pet Friendly" sign. We arrived around midnight. 2 of our rooms were not cleaned. Beds unmade, towels on floor, trash, etc. Had to go across the street to speak to someone. Parking lot basically empty we thought we would get 2 new rooms. Instead, had to wait 30 minutes for those rooms to be "cleaned". TV didn't work, (staff informed us it probably wouldn't ). Very confusing showers, Some trash left in the room, no cold water coming out of the sink. staff left a pile of supplies on the bed. All decaf coffee packets and no cups. All around awesome staff, walking distance to dg and Walmart, plenty of food around also
