This place is only just ok. Located on an extremely busy street. Beds are tired, towels are Cindy. No ice machine. If you stay two nights expect to get no maid service. Must fetch new towels etc from front desk. Sign outside says heated pool and sauna. You quickly find out neither are operational. I would give it one star but the shower is decent and it is close to amenities.
We should have believed the reviews: our experience at the Travelodge by Wyndham in Quesnel was awful. We were forced to stay there out of necessity and regretted it immediately. The two rooms we rented were shabby, stained, and clearly neglected. Carpets were blotchy, linens threadbare, and the battered furniture looked like it was bought decades ago at an impoverished senior’s estate sale. This hotel definitely deserves more than a 3.2 star rating. The decor is dated but is well-maintained and my room was spotless and comfortable. Despite being on the main road, the room was quiet and I had a very good sleep. Plus the price is right!
Don’t even bother with this hotel. It’s a joke, and would be better used as a parking lot for the hospital across the street. My dad and I were coming down to surprise a a family friend, and just needed a place to crash until they came back into town. We booked here because Travelodge is at least a recognizable name and would at least have SOME standards for customer service and quality, even if a bit old or barebones in terms of amenities.
