So, they put me in room 101. There are no working outlets so you can't charge anything, no tv, no heat, no lights and no the wifi does not work. But you got a bed to sit there in the dark in.

Not a good experience at this dive. Usually my experience at motels in Gallup is much better than average but stubbed my toe on this dump. First off, the pics on the site do not represent the actual condition of the rooms. The two we happened to see were dirty and in a state of disrepair. Now let's get to the smell....the first room we got assigned smelled like rigor mortis had set in somewhere under the bed. TRAVELERS BEWARE- very bad area near the tracks. Overrun with shady folk. Travelodge office was closed, even though we arrived during business hours posted on their door. They posted a sign to check in at Days Inn next door. We were so exhausted, we went against our better judgement and decided to stay anyway. I have to say what a Awesome guy named Kevin who checked me in at the desk was one of the nicest and most helpful person that I have met in my life. I am 62 years old and he made sure I had everything I needed and I just can't say enough about this guy. Thank you so much. He is an asset to this hotel !
