Loved it! – Went there Saturday night with my sweetie & two other couples. AWESOME and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The food was great with wonderful portions for the price. The ambiance was very romantic and the service was second to none! Our server was very knowledgeable about everything from the food to the wine to the dessert and was able to provide "snippets" about anything and everything we mentioned. I would absolutely recommend Trattoria 10 for a fine dining experience. We will definitely be going there the next time we ... read more
What a great Restaurant – I have been coming to Trattoria No.10 for the last 8 years, and still find it one of the best restaurants in the windy city. I even by pass the near north side to go downtown, for an exceptional evening. From food to service, this is consistantly one terrific diningroom. Pre-theater dining is a given here, however, if you and yours want an evening out, go after 7:30pm and enjoy a relaxing night out. Valet is a confienient way to avoid parking problems.
Nearly a perfect. – The atmosphere was incredible. The lighting perfect. The food, to die for. Complementary butternut squash ravioli was something that I will talk about for a long time to come. What I was most impressed with however, was the service. Our waiter was extremly plesant. I am by no means a wine conisiour, but the waiter was more than happy to describe the many varieties of wines they had to offer. The one negative, the tables were quite close together.
The Only Restaurant in Chicago – I recently moved to Chicago & a friend recommended Trattoria No. 10 as the only restaurant in Chicago, so I went. The food: SPECTACULAR! It was beautiful & tasted even better. The atmosphere: WONDERFUL! It's the type of place that you can go with friends to chat, have a meeting, or have a romantic date. The lighting is low with a warm glow, but not dark, & the music is just barely there so that it's pleasant, not deafening. Overall what makes it not just good, but GREAT, are the people. Underground Gem – Wonderful find in the theater district of the loop. Italian food at it's best. Squash Ravioli is the best and I'm told has been on the menu for 16 years. My partner ordered the fresh Barramundi, he said it was amazing, and the bottle of wine that Julie our waitress sugested matched perfectly. The wine list is all Italian and has won numerous awards. Can't wait to go again when I go see Wicked this summer.
Contemporary Italian specialties in a rustic setting attract theatergoers and Loop workers. – The Scene A cheerful trompe l'oeil mural fills the walls around an open stairway that leads down into the restaurant. Low ceilings, wood furnishings, textured cream walls and red-speckled tile floor create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Understated arches divide the large dining room into intimate spaces, and overall dim lighting is cleverly complemented by table spotlights. The Food The menu is divided the Italian way, with antipasti... read more
mostly marvelous – Trattoria 10's food was great - with the exception of the main(meat) course, which was bland and overcooked. The salad was lovely and the butternut squash ravioli was absolutely amazing. You can easily make a main course of pasta and skip the meat entrees... I'd recommend it. Dessert was good, and the wine list was very impressive. Average service.
Great Evening in Chicago! – Farfalle pasta with duck & veal saltimboca were incredible! Ambiance was very inviting. Our only disappointment, and to me a fairly large one, was the price of wine. I was looking for a full-bodied red & I was prepared to spend some $ to get a decent one. Waitress could only come up with a $50 one that left me a little disappointed. If you like full-bodied reds be prepared to spend $65 or higher. The waitress was a real pro who knew her stuff & let us take our time.
