The Owner ia a cheat and Steals from the Customers – Because of the beauty of the place I tried it for a number of occasions Every time the owner Isacco managed to steal, pad the bill, create confusion. Isacco is is not to be trusted

Great experience, wonderful place! – It was not just a meal, it was an entire experience! The food and atmosphere were great. The owner, our host, was amazing. Unlike other reviewers, we loved the attention. Isaac had us in stitches. We were laughing the entire time. He even had two lunching cops grinning ear to ear by the time they left. And what's wrong with a little wine being brought your way? He treated us to dessert and to a beautiful port, compliments of the house and for no particular reason. If you want a memorable ... read more

Great Italian in Hell's Kitchen – I moved to NY recently and this was my first time having Italian in Hell's Kitchen (9th Ave bw 39th & 40th). If you're looking for a dining experience straight out of Little Italy transported to Hell's Kitchen, this is your place. Now, that's not a bad thing. I'm happy I don't have to travel all that far for good Italian food. The kicker is, the manager. Such a doll!! Ladies, if you're looking for a night out with the girls, good music, great sangria and delicious food, this is your place. G... read more

Quirky and grumpy host who yells, argues and mumbles. Great campy decor! Bland, boring food. – I live a few blocks from this restaurant. The over-the-top, but cozy "Italian" decor is what lured us in, I guess. Yes, the host is an eccentric, grumpy thug-like character who mumbles a lot, But we overlooked this and hoped for the best. Though it was empty when we went, we love Italian cuisine, and were hoping this would be the gem of an Italian restaurant our neighborhood lacked. We too had to go through the entire flat vs. spar... read more

Finally found - a terrific Italian restaurant near the garment district. If you can check your attitiude at the door & are looking to have a delicious meal in a charming little restaurant then you MUST try Pesce Pasta - note, name soon to change to Trattoria Casa Di Isacco. The owner is, let's just say, entertaining. He definitely keeps it real, so if you are one of those uppity New Yorkers (fyi - I'm a native NYker) that requires a kiss butt staff this is not the place for you. The music is great, the space is charming & th... read more

Eccentric Manager that just adds to a fun dining experience! – Yeah, the manager is a bit ECCENTRIC, if you will, but we've gone there several times, including for my Birthday party and we're going back yet again for about the 6th time for our anniversary dinner. The guy is a little nuts, but take him with some grain of salt and be open to a fun, unconventional dining experience, and you'll love this place.

The rudest proprietor in NYC – I've never walked out of a restaurant before, but there's a first time for everything. Tonight was my first experience at Pasta Pesce. It's a very small space, with two large vats of sangria balanced precariously in the entranceway. As I entered, I accidentally jostled the sangria. The proprietor flew into a rage, and continued to scream at me as I made my way to my table. Unaccustomed to being treated like that in a restaurant, I muttered an apology and sat down. The angry proprietor made us w... read more

EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUS!! Not like the location on Bleeker AT ALL! – I had dinner here recently and had the worst dining experience I?ve had in years! I rarely write online reviews, but I was so aggravated after this experience, that I felt it was my duty to help others avoid the same. I have been going to the Bleeker Street location for over 5 years, and I adore it! The service is good, the food is great, and very reasonable. Decided to try this location for a change, assuming it would be the same. When we first sat down we wer... read more

Incredibly rude service! – I signed up to citysearch specifically to share my review of this restaurant. I had the worst dining experience ever here at lunch. The food was average and the service was horrible. At the end of our meal, I gave the waiter a certificate I had purchased worth $10 off of a minimim purchase of $15. Our bill was $40, and he only took $4 off the bill. It appeared he took 10% off as opposed to the $10. When I pointed this out, he begrudgingly revised it, but still only took off $6. He argued with me ab... read more
