My experience with the Oshawa location has been frustrating. Communication requires multiple follow-ups, and I’ve had to resend the same forms several times. While the instructors are knowledgeable and professional, the back office is very disorganized, and it’s difficult to get a clear answer. Common responses include, “I’m new” or “I need to check with someone else.” We chose Oshawa purely for convenience, but in hindsight, I would have selected a different location. I started this process in July. I originally was dealing with Kacey in Peterborough ontario. Because of what I felt to be a terrible lack of communication between Kacey and Serko/drive test. I switched to Oshawa. I was unsuccessful first time around, no big deal. Re booked at drive test centre and paid for another hour and a truck rental for 380$. Ok. I was due to test again sep 2. Horrible experience. Classroom portion was good but the hands on experience is minimal and problematic. 50% of the hands on training is only observation, schedules are sporatic and unreliable. Practical instructors are great but scheduling is non-existent. Have shown up and sent home for not being scheduled despite email confirmation. No sessions for weeks at a time followed by a late Friday email for weekend sessions. Advisors sometimes do not call back to assist. These guys are awesome. A couple old hands who care about their students passing, and they are awesome to shoot the breeze with. There is a self learning component so do the study materials at home and ask questions but its the best value around. They are BUSY so keep on top of your schedual. 10/10
