I recently had some troubles with my transmission and I naturally called around to find the best price. I called Trans Clinic, the "manager" told me if I would like my car fixed, I need to get my car to them within their store hours, then politely hung up. I wouldn't recommend this business to anybody working between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:30 pm, unless you have somebody to run your errands for you. BEST TRANSMISSION SHOP IN VENTURA COUNTY – Yeah "zendaddy444" may have had a problem but honestly look at the other review. I have had the best experiance here, and they help you out. lets be real oxnard has no good automotive shops NONE whats so ever, they are all beat down and you dont know if there even capable to fix it. Buyer beware!!! These guys are as crooked as they come... They tow your vehicle free of charge then tell you "lets open it up, i bet its only a 100.00 dollar part that needs to be replaced. They then said your tranny needs replacement that'll be 2500.00. I found another guy who only charges 1300.00 (805)486-1705 ask for Willy)so i said no thanks, so now there charging me for the tow there and time spent comes out to 385.00 just to get my car back in the same condition i took it in. BUYER BEWARE!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE LOOK ELSEWHERE – CONSUMER BEWARE!! I will never do business with these guys ever again, there sales pitch is to get your car in for a free estimate then they will say, we need to open her up for a better look and most likely its just 100.00 part that needs to be replaced, That hundred dollars turns into 2500 really quick. Not a personal review. Since there was no information posted I have looked up the Better Business Bureau rating. This company has a AAA rating with the BBB. This is their highest rating. "An exemplary rating. This means that nothing in our files causes us to have any doubt about the company’s reliability." I hope this is helpful.
Finally, a competent trans shop! – I had two automatic transmissions rebuilt, one in a 94 Ford truck and the other out of a 67 Mustang. Both came out perfect. I was amazed at how fast these guys get it done. They called when they said they'd call. They finished it earlier than they said they would. When my son goofed installing the 67 Mustang trans and damaged the rebuilt trans, they fixed it for free! I'm happy with this shop and would definitely use them again. See Greg, the service manager.
