I first went to TransMasters about 4 years ago with a 1995 Ford Windstar with 137K, totally gone reverse gear. Sam informed me that this transmission model was only used in select Ford models and was known for problems after 100K miles. I had them install the new transmission and drove it until it DIED at 350K (NOT A TRANNY PROBLEM!) During this time I sent a friend with a PT Cruiser that had been into the DEALER 6 time in 4 years for tranmission problem without being fixed. Transmasters on Miramar Road – i have been very fortunate to locate TransMasters on Miramar Road. When my Honda hit the 100,000 mile mark and my Honda warranty expired, I went to Poway Honda to price a complete 105,000 mile service. Their price was $2400. Great Service, Honest & Respectable – Any time you go somewhere you've never been before you have concerns especially when dealing with your car...especially when you don't really know much about cars. Honest & Reliable – This has been our family auto service shop since I can remember. Growing up in San Diego, whenever we've had any issues with our cars, we've always taken it to Transmasters. I've since moved to Orange County, but still only trust Sam at Transmasters. I own a 2001 Nissan Maxima. Responce to Rasoul Compalint ID 8108765 – Transmasters Response to BBB findings on this complaint: Transmasters built a quality transmission and guaranteed it for 2 years and 24,000miles. 66796 miles and 3 years later, with NO maintenance services, Ms. Rasoul has posted a damaging complaint that even states the repairs made by Transmasters are not related to her problems. This place is NOT good! They shouldn't even get one star! – Transmasters told me a complete transmission overhaul was necessary for my vehicle. They kept my vehicle in their shop for 10 days and when I got my car back they had put over 500 miles on it! They simply said it took that many to drive test it to ensure it was working correctly. They also could not get the check engine light to ever go off and claimed it was probably a computer or electrical error that would cost me even more to fix. Honest Auto Repair – I brought my vehicle here from a recommendation from another auto repair facility. My check engine light was on and indicating my transmission was faulty. These guys gave me several repair options. They gave me prices for three different scenarios; (1) repair only what they visibly see as needing repair, (2) have them rebuild the rtranny, or (3) have the dealer rebuild the tranny.
