For any trans patient seeking care, I could not recommend the BMC trans health program any less. There’s major logistical issues and inaccurate information provided to patients in a non timely manner. For example, I tried to get a preauthorization to do something required for surgery, I was told I would have to wait until early May when they were sending letters to everyone in the program. I am one of Dr. Robert Oates former transgendered(SRS)patients. After dealing with him for a year, I cancelled my surgery two weeks before it was supposed to take place. I kept calling and e-mailing him and never got a response. After waiting two months for one, I cancelled. Do not blame Erica Batista, his secretary, for his lack of attentiveness.
