For any trans patient seeking care, I could not recommend the BMC trans health program any less. There’s major logistical issues and inaccurate information provided to patients in a non timely manner. For example, I tried to get a preauthorization to do something required for surgery, I was told I would have to wait until early May when they were sending letters to everyone in the program. I am one of Dr. Robert Oates former transgendered(SRS)patients. After dealing with him for a year, I cancelled my surgery two weeks before it was supposed to take place. I kept calling and e-mailing him and never got a response. After waiting two months for one, I cancelled. Do not blame Erica Batista, his secretary, for his lack of attentiveness. Takes a hundred years to get an appointment, another hundred years for a second appointment, life is over before it begins. No help because they are so inefficient.

All of the staff are very nice and professional. Be warned, though, it takes forever to get an appointment.
