Edit 4/25...... So i ended up buying a 2nd hand transmission. I used a different local mechanic to do the transmission changeover for me. To my horror he informed me of 5 missing bolts that are supposed to hold the transmission to the engine, there were 3 zippy ties, one holding the linkage to the selector, one to the steering actuator, and one to something else that I can't remember.
