Trane is not paying for the cost of a failed part on my 4-year old Trane heat pump which is still under warranty. The control board failed and was replaced by the HVAC technician with a newer control board since the older control board is obsolete and no longer available. The cost of the new board is $300 more than the cost of the board which is no longer available. The technician said Trane makes the customer pay the additional $300 to replace this failed part.
