Trails End-Best.Hot Dogs. EVER! I can't say enough about the "Trails End" in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. While it doesn't look like much from the outside, passing it by in favor of a more trendy bar woudl be almost criminal. Inside, the bar is one of those big heavy, ornately carved masterpieces that you just don't see anymore, and the bartenders are friendly and prompt in offering you a refill on your drink. Best Chili Dogs Ever Best chili dog anywhere. Not even a close second. I am fliying into Milwaukee from Phoenix tomorrow and first stop will be Trails End. I first had them when I was a kid and was young and naive. I would only get them with mustard. My dad would lecture me on why we are having them for the chili but I would not budge. Now the only way to order them is with the works. They put on mustard, onions and homemade chili. Fantastic!!!!
Trail's End is one of the best hotdog places in the country! This Tavern has thee best dogs with the "works"! They haven't changed in 60 or so years!!! I am 46 yrs old and have been going there since 1969. Old world charm with the antique bar back, friendly patrons and bar tenders.
Trail's End is the only Chili Dog that I will ever enjoy!!! I grew up eating the "the works chili dogs" from Trails End and they are simply the gauge that other chili dogs strive to be. I now live in Maryland and if I am within a 500 mile drive from Trail End, I go. I've made trips back to Oshkosh from Maryland to only sit at Trails End bar to enjoy 2 or 3 chili dogs and a few beers and drive back to Maryland. Yes, it is a dive and that is part of the enjoyment of the whole experiance!!! I wish I could have one right now!!!

This historic tavern built it 1926 hasn’t changed much in its life. Old school atmosphere and prices famous for its hot dogs with the works: chopped onions, mustard and chili sauce...2 for $3.70, 3 for $5.00. Washed down with frosty mugs of draught beer it can’t be beat! Our hostess, bartender, cook and server Donna knocked it out of the park! I highly recommend Trails End👍
