Management does not want to deal with anything. The neglect company law as well as contract law. Management is in it for money. When you call them up for maintenance or assistance, they will smirk/laugh in your face and say “check resident portal” even though there’s NOTHING regarding lease or rules. Moved daughter in 1 week ago. My experience to date is: 1. the website is clunky and while they require many docs be uploaded the functionality of the website is frustrating! 2. We bought our own insurance and tried to upload proof multiple times and finally emailed it to the manager, Yet at move in, after a 5 hour drive, having to park illegally because they little parking, with a line of people waiting to check in, they held up the line for 10 minutes insisting we needed to pay for $13 insurance before giving us a key! When we moved our daughter into her apartment it was dirty/dusty, there were holes in the wall and marks on the trim around the doorway leading into her room. Fast forward to her moving out last month we receive a notice that there are $270 in damage and cleaning charges...no back up or photos, just a work order that lists the fees. And hers was the lowest of all four roommates (one was being charged over $1000). UPDATE 12-30-24: Happy New Year to me! It just keeps getting better and better! - So my initial dispute was FINALLY resolved. They acknowledged the errors they made and sent a revised balance. This was reviewed and paid for, certified mail with return receipt. CHECK WAS CASHED/Have voided check. While my daughter loved “living” in this location I was always overwhelmed to visit and see the conditions of the entry foyer-broken steps- huge safety hazard, door wide open, filth in all common areas, elevator and all hallways. We are now dealing with MOVE OUT bills that I deem to be inflated and unacceptable.
