I used to use Trader Joe’s all the time, it was my favorite store. Then they decided to discriminate against me and won’t allow me to shop in the store! I have a medical issue that makes wearing a mask unsafe and causes me breathing issues, they had no problem with that till recently. This is discrimination against someone with a disability/medical condition. A corporation doesn’t have the right to force medical decisions in me. So disappointed with the Royal Oak, MI Trader Joe’s. It is currently about 32 degrees and windy.... with a line of about 30 people... an elderly man... probably about 85-90 years old with a cane walking very slowly, came up and got in the back of the long line. I thought for sure one of the workers would have immediately went and got him to let him in without waiting in the long line. They didn’t. Long story short, I steamed a bag of kale and it included a maggot. Luckily I spit it out in time. I called and they said they would send me a gift card for the $3 or whatever that we paid. It’s been over six months and I’m still waiting. I didn’t get sick but what a bummer from a customer service perspective.
So lucky to find the Harry and David Pears today!

even though pandemic is in full swing trader Joe's staff keep a close eye on social distance and a number of people shopping and particular attention to the flow. of course the food is always excellent I go there specifically for the hot spicy green posole. I love the vegan pesto. there's always a quick grab for lunch in the salad section. that's my preferred lunch shopping destination. excellent service and minimal inline wait time.
