We love Trader Joe's in Chapel Hill. This one, not so much. On vacation we decided to shop once we arrived. Bananas are a great quick healthy travel boost. But 25 cents for a banana is ridiculous. Unless you are a convenience store, a grocery store sells bananas by the pound. When I read the price and saw the bunch of bananas, not single bananas, I asked the employee in the produce section about this. And she looked at me like I was speaking in tongues and responded with, "produce is always sold by the piece." Sorry, not so ... read more
I went in to pick up a couple of things today and had a sleeping baby with me. I had the baby carrier in one arm and a basket full of stuff in the other. As I was checking out your cashier noticed my struggle and asked one of his coworkers who was about to get off her shift to assist me to the car. She didn’t hesitate and loaded my stuff in the car while being super nice to talk to.
