felt like an unwelcome customer.. I was lining up to pay for my groceries at Trader Joe's in Fairfax last night and the cashier was very nice to the customers ahead of me. When it was my turn, I said hi, but she never answered nor looked at me. Also, she never answered nor nodded when I asked for double bagging. Great products AND service If only we could do all of our grocery shopping here -- it would be perfect. They have very interesting and delicious items and have food that is different that our kids will even eat! Service is always fantastic too.
Very helpful staff - great food selection!!! Phenomenal breads!!! Great (and easy) ideas for making meals more interesting. Also the staff is very helpful and aware (they'll open a new register without waiting for a manager to notice the lines). Just a nice place to shop with great food (and flowers too)!
Home of 2 Buck Chuck Trader Joe's is an interesting store for many reasons. They have an amazing frozen food section with entrees such as rattlesnake, rabbit, onion soup, seafood newburg, and goat cheese pizza. They have samples all over the store. But the best part of the store is the wine section. Trader Joe's is the exclusive retailer of Charles Shaw wine, better known as 2 Buck Chuck. Great Food, Great Price If you've never been here before, you are missing out. Trader Joes has the best food for amazing deals. Its better priced than all those large grocery stores out there. In addition, the food is amazing...many different options...such as organic, fresh, or many vegetarian options. The products are from local sellers so some items you may not see at other Trader Joes. You shop there once and I guarantee you will always go back.
Unpleasant Experience I have been a regular customer at Trader Joe's Fairfax VA for the past 8 years and have had great experiences in the past. I have seen a decline in Customer Service at this friendly grocery store. I had two unpleasant experiences 2 weeks in a row. My little girl was excited and wanted to try the sample cheese and she was rudely reprimanded by the Wine Rep or whoever he is supposed to be. great place to shop Trader Joes is always a pleasant place to shop. They offer a variety of specialty grocery items, as well as some items you would find at a mainstream grocery store. The prices are low, and the employees are always smiling. PROS: great employees CONS: not much parking
Great grocery shopping facility A well-maintained store on Main St. of Fairfax city is a great grocery shopping facility. A huge selection of delicious wines and top quality cheese recipes plus probably the cheapest prices in the market creates a fulfilling and valuable shopping experience here. Great for Dinners not Produce I just began to frequent this grocery store again after being in Seattle and seeing how much my sister-in-law shops there. The prices are fairly good but I always end up leaving there spending between $75-100 for a 2 adult family. I have found that parking is a nightmare. I never can get in and out of this shopping center quickly and the carts cannot be brought the car. The produce is also not very good and pricey compared to Shoppers Food Warehouse across the street.
