Dr Ikerd took time to explain everything for me to understand. Also got my health plan set up also.
Dr. Ikerd has been my doctor for over 14 years. Not once have I had a bad experience with him. He is always professional, has my best interest in mind.
Dr. Ikerd has helped.me before. He reviewed my recent labs, asked how I was doing and said he was very pleased.The only negative is that he spent a good deal of the time dictating his report. I don't recall that happening previously.Perhaps Ascension should give docs more time to see their patients.
He is not only knowledgable and professional but is kind, compassionate and a really nice guy. Enjoyable to be around.

Dr. Ikerd was both professional and personal. He listened as well as had reviewed my records from other recent contact. He explained things well and laid out multiple options with implications for each. I felt very comfortable with the discussion and subsequent plan!
Dr. Ikerd deserves accolades for curing my infection, but the IV nurses and staff are an amazing group of young women who made the daily treatments more than bearable: found a vein quickly and efficiently installed and removed the port and treated me daily with respect, humor and kindness during the stressful holiday time. Their smiles made the 21-days less difficult!
Lab review
Dr Ikerd saw me through 2 hospitalizations, 49 days of IV antibiotics and follow up visits for an infection that is resistant to most antibiotics. He is very thorough, caring, nice and takes the time to listen to his patients. I would highly recommend Dr Ikerd to anyone needing an infectious disease doctor!
