Total administrative failure, dishonesty, and zero care for patients. I am completely cutting ties with TPMG after multiple incidents. First, a TPMG Podiatrist abruptly canceled my appointment 1–2 days prior over an internal PCP referral paperwork issue they refused to help resolve. Next, at the Newport News OB/GYN facility, they booked me for back-to-back appointments (ultrasound at 1:30 PM, results with Dr. Cordes at 2:15 PM). I’m not sure what happened to this practice, but the quality of care, communication, and management has declined dramatically in just a matter of weeks. As a result, I will no longer be choosing TPMG for my prenatal care. For the past month, I have been unable to schedule an appointment with any of the midwives. Instead, now that I’m in my third trimester, I’m being scheduled with a nurse practitioner rather than the providers who will ultimately be responsible for delivering my baby. I had a disappointing experience at TPMG Hampton OBGYN. I arrived 10–20 minutes early for my appointment and completed pre-check-in beforehand. My appointment was scheduled for 10:00 AM, but by approximately 10:40 AM I still had not been called back. I had my son with me, who has Level 2 autism. He was not yelling, screaming, or causing a disturbance. Like many children, especially children with autism, he became curious and looked around the waiting room while we waited. great experience with doctor cordes—she’s super kind, was incredibly gentle, and very knowledgeable. she answered all of my questions and gave me suggestions based on what i mentioned. the other nurses/staff were all very kind and helpful and made it a very quick, easy experience.
