About this business

Our Toyota dealer in New Jersey has been family owned and operated since 1976, but our history goes back even further to 1962 when Arnold Brauer opened his first Ford dealership in Madison, NJ. Arnold spent his youth helping out at his father’s Graham Paige dealership, so it isn’t tough to see that we know a thing or two about building relationships and fostering loyalty. No matter what your needs are, we're here to help you find exactly what you're after at Toyota of Morristown.

******* center: deceptive, rude, evasive, unconcerned with customer satisfaction. After failing to disclose a $185 charge to look at the acceleration problem with my 2016 Forester, they only disclosed this to me after I drove 1/2 hour to get there. When I expressed that I was unhappy with the lack of transparency by telephone later (I declined the service), the service advisor was reluctant to identify himself (would not even give me his first name until I asked politely several times). He was evasive, borderline rude, and c... read more

Business response:

Subaru of Morristown is committed to full disclosure of diagnostic fees when confirming appointments which include a requested diagnosis. We were concerned by your statement in this review that we had not disclosed the fee before you came and we reviewed our appointment scheduling records and confirmation emails. The first appointment you scheduled was done over the phone with our automated scheduler and we found an email sent the next day to you which disclosed the diagnosis fee. When you revised your appointment on the pho... read more

Not only do they selling cosmetically damaged cars brand new but they also selling structurally damaged cars! I bought a WRX in may 2023 brand new from factory not only were the seat scuffed up but also three paint chips on the exterior. Their remedy was to order a paint touch-up stick and have me do it, also 3 months in I have structural factory defect in the firewall that caused interior flooding, which they are fighting me on

After servicing my car at this dealership, I received an email asking me to provide them my feedback. When I tried to click on 1, 2 or 3 stars, I got misdirected to a "dealer not found" page, through an However when I tried to click on 4 or 5 stars, I got correctly directed to the dealer rating website. This is a highly deceiving practice, blocking the intent to leave negative reviews, while allowing only the positive ones to go through. This is not and error. It's intentional, and it can be verified by analysing the code embe... read more

I wish I'd read these before going. I went once for an oil change, recall and battery check and felt they did a good job, so went back again for an oil change and this time with the class action settlement authorizaiton for work also. I'll try to summarize the issues in the limit:1. They had me sign that I authorized the $149 diagnostics test and will pay it. They never ran the test, only a battery check (which takes all of 30 seconds). When I picked up the vehicle and asked for the full report, they told me they'd find it b... read more

Toyota of Morristown has very condescending staff and trying to get a call back from the general manager about an issue is impossible. In addition, they sell your information to third parties, which is against Toyota Corporation's privacy policy. Now I get mailings from scam companies trying to sell me extended warranties. And I know this because ToM is the only place that has my name incorrectly listed in their database entry associated with my vehicle. So if you buy from them, don't expect them to respect you, your privacy... read more

Worst car buying experience ever. Sales people are condescending. This company does whatever they can to trick you out of money. We agreed a price. The sales person then proceeded to provide the wrong price to finance. I corrected them. He fixed it and then said there was a problem with the computer and changed the cost again. They then decided to charge me +20% tax. Absurd. They reported the wrong numbers to the finance company. They lost my contract. The list goes on and on. I will be telling everyone I know to avoid this ... read more

This is the worst dealership ever. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They also ripped me off during my trade process that took a little longer as a result of me getting very ill so subsequently I had to pay one more payment on my vehicle before I traded it and they refused to give that money to me even though the deal was put together before my payment was due so they ripped me off $546. Additionally the sales person Debra S****** advised that they can get me the color of choice but they would need a $250 upfront but it ... read more
