I was planning to buy out my lease at Toyota of El Cajon and had been working with Esther, an excellent saleswoman, for over six months on the process. She was professional, patient, and always accommodating. I had a scheduled appointment on 8/14/25 at 11 AM, which I booked three days in advance due to my busy schedule as a nurse. I’ve had a very frustrating experience with my sales man Darnell and the customer response rate. I purchased my car in November of 2024, and have yet to receive my second key. I’ve called countless times, almost every week or every other week to be met with no real solution. My salesman always says he’s going to contact me back but never does and I have to recall the dealership or I’m sent over to the service department where I am just told to talk to my sales man. Salesman Darnell and this dealership are a complete disgrace. He lies through his teeth straight to your face about why they haven’t given you the 2nd key to a brand new car you bought 8 MONTHS AGO and then hangs up the phone, completely unprofessional behavior. Zero follow up, and keeps giving the runaround while making up lies like “they haven’t made the 2nd key to the car in the factory” even though the car was sold brand new. If you want bottom-of-the-barrel experience and lying salesmen, this is the place to go.

Apparently if you use your truck you can get these awesome bubbles above the screen on your dash on a 2024 Tacoma and can get ruined by the sun in about 1 year.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I purchased a 3 year/40k miles Toyota Care maintenance package for my car. When my car was due for service I called the service department to schedule an appointment for maintenance and I would tell them that I had purchased Toyota care and the employee would tell me that my Toyota care was expired and would ask me if there was a possibility that I might have canceled it, I’d tell her no.
