They didn't have Wi-Fi. Construction dudes were hanging out right outside our room, crushing cases of beer. Room was run down. Pretty shocking for a Marriott property. There are better options in the area.
Dirty,with bugs in bed,torn carpet and appears they hadn't remodeled in 30 years. Sarah the manager is not friendly or helpful nor is one of the other front desk bullies,but Pam and Kelsey are both awesome! Location is great but other than that it's probably a hard pass!
This hotel is where I stay, when I visit Michigan. I married a Michigander so I am here often. This hotel is no Ritz Carlton or Waldorf, and that is exactly why I enjoy my stays — it feels like my home. In fact, it is my second home! I got married this past weekend, and I write on behalf of my wedding group: we all loved our stay here! Staff is nice however the Wi-Fi constantly drops, the internet speeds are slow. I did a speed test and I got 1.15Mbps. It's after Memorial Day and the pool is still not open. They couldn't even keep forks in stock for breakfast. The Breakfast options are lacking as this is the first Marriott I've stayed at that didn't have a waffle maker. The Orange juice is out of order. The grill & patio area is nice though. I'm pretty sure my room is missing some pots & pans.
We stayed for 5 nights in the 2 bedroom suite. First thing I want to say is that all the people who work there are super accommodating and friendly! That is worth so much in my book. Also, the beds were clean and so comfortable. But would I stay again, probably not. And this is because the place needs remodeling. The furniture needs to be replaced and the flooring gave me the creeps. The mirror in bathroom was old and chipped. The bathroom corners werent the cleanest. The place needs some tender care.
