a little bit of everything Total Crafts in Faifax has a bit of everything. They have general craft supplies and some floral design options. The selection is not great and if you are looking for materials for a specific craft, you might be better off seeking out a specialty store. PROS: average prices, general crafts CONS: not much for specialty items
Medicore workmanship and high prices I brought in several things to frame and although the staff was nice, the prices were higher than the first place. I decided to give them a shot, was not that pleased.
Framing Department is Excellent We are having a major framing job done at this store. They are easy to work with. They recommended ideas on the framing and are adhering to our strict timeline. The framing manager is great!!! The final product has been perfect and the price is reasonable.
Total Framing is GREAT!!! I have been a customer with Total Framing for years---many years. I was even a customer in their Total Crafts Store (framing department) BEFORE the Price family opened Total Framing in Fairfax. I am happy to spend my money at this business because of the quality of the work and the excellent price! While the friendly staff there dispenses excellent framing advice and lovely choices, I find the design work of Kim Ho to be the most valuable to me. The Best I lived in Northern Virginia for many years and first discovered Carolyn, the amazing framing manager, when the store was Total Crafts on Rte 236. With her guidance and advice, I have had several dozen framing jobs done there over the years. She is so good that even though I now live in Pennsylvania, 2 hours away, I save my framing jobs for when I have time to go to Total Framing. Wouldn't go anywhere else.
Unpleasant experience I am always looking for local businesses that offer great value and good service. My take on Total Framing: look further. Expect to pay more for less selection. Prepare yourself for an unpleasant experience because of the mixed, bordering on rude customer service. I was so eager to leave the store during my last transaction that I realized afterward that the clerk had not shown me any matting options. This rating is based on two visits to the store, during which I purchased three custom frames.
