I should have read yelp. My experience yeeeaaaars later: 1:25PM on a Saturday, May 19, 2018. We pulled into the parking lot - thought they were closed - just one car in the lot! Not ONE customer eating - but one in the bar. I tried the Carne Asada - got a couple bites down but after having to spit-out three lumps of 'gristle' I gave up. My wife's Beef Enchalada had more beans than meat. Miserable experience - just miserable. We refused to speak to anyone beyond the nice server - paid the full bill - plus tip and escaped!
the first time I went to this place I took guests from out of town. The food and service was so bad, I was embarassed. The only flavor the food had was salt and the older, overly make-uped waitress with a bad attitude kept mispronouncing the names of the dishes. It was embarassing!
Management knows it has several methhead, pill poppers and tweekers working there. They continue to allow them to prepare YOUR food. Drug addicts have a higher rate of Hepatitas, HIV, STD's, ect... not to mention all the "tweeker sores" they have. I will NOT return until the place is cleaned up ! P.S. CHANGE YOUR DEEP FRY OIL !!! Sorry to see a Redding landmark go soo far downhill. In this day and age of unemployment. Dont tell me you cant find good, clean workers. 09-16-2009
Tortilla Flats I was a little disappointed in Tortilla Flats. In my opinion, it seemes a little overpriced with fewer choices than I am used to. The restaurant seems extremely dim, which makes reading the menu difficult. There were candles on the table, that did make it easier. Upon entrance we waited at least 20 minutes before seating, the chips seemed stale, while the salsa seemed overly bland. All in all I was disappointed.
