Just moved 2 miles away from Torrance Refinery. There is random times where the smell of rotten eggs is very strong. I also smell burning in some nights. I would have my window open and the smell would come inside my house. Vey unbearable and strong smells. It’s to the point that when exhaled, I feel uncomfortable. I can only imagine people that don’t have seal shut windows or doors to keep the air out. Disappointing Visit to Torrance Refining Company on Sept 21st. Our experience was marred by poor coordination from start to finish. The check-in process was chaotic and inefficient. With four family members having different last names, we were forced to stand in separate lines, wasting 35 precious minutes. This frustrating delay put us at the back of the queue for the bus tour. I am a long-time resident of Torrance, and I recently registered for the Torrance Refining Company's event, which was specifically organized to welcome Torrance residents to tour the refinery. Unfortunately, my experience was far from welcoming. Despite arriving on time and showing my correct registration details, including the accurate address and my ID, the volunteers refused to allow me entry.
